About THomas

My name is Thomas, I am a graduate student intern.  I'm here to provide you with a space of empathy, safety, and acceptance where we can explore the challenges you're facing and collaboratively develop skills and goals that will enable you to claim power in your life and live authentically in accordance with what you believe and value.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and two years into a Master's degree from Amberton University.  My experience includes working in group and individual settings with those experiencing mood disorders, substance abuse, significant life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, severe persistent mental illness, as well as complex family and relationship dynamics.

My own history involved years of work and development in personal counseling.  I understand what it's like to be in emotional turmoil, isolated, misunderstood, confused, defeated, and hopeless.  There is absolutely hope.  Humans possess incredible resilience.  I have not only witnessed incredible healing and change in others in all stages of life and in the midst of seemingly insurmountable challenges, I've experienced this healing and change myself.

I welcome individuals from all varieties of backgrounds, faiths, gender identities, and belief systems, and confidently assert that with me you will have a space free from judgment and discrimination.

I commit to walk with you as a support and a guide towards healing and personal growth.  I firmly believe that if you are ready and willing to show up and be honest with yourself, you and I can make remarkable progress in achieving your therapeutic goals.
