About Kristin

Hi! I'm Kristin, a master's level therapist intern currently completing my clinical training as part of my graduate studies in Marriage and Family Therapy at Amberton University. I work under the supervision of Adrienne Marshall, MMFT, LMFT, NACC, as I deepen my experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My educational background is a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Interdisciplinary Studies from Angelo State University in 2003. I also hold a Certified Academic Language Therapist, CALT, from Scottish Rite Hospital.  After twenty years of being a Dyslexia Therapist, God has called me in a new direction.

I have always been called to be a helper of people. I have seen the amazing benefits of therapy in my own life. I understand the fear of taking the first step, the importance of setting boundaries, and the amazing healing that can come when doing the work.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in empathy. I believe that healing happens in a safe, supportive relationship where clients feel heard and empowered. I have a particular interest in trauma, anxiety, depression, identity development, life transitions, and trafficking. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and kids ages 5+.

I’m committed to creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space for clients of all backgrounds. It’s a privilege to walk alongside people in their growth, and I’m continually honored by the courage and resilience I witness in this work.

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me hanging out with friends and family, running my kids all around to their activities, playing with my 2 doodles (Jett and Murphy), or hanging out with my husband.
