About adrienne

My want to serve others as been on my heart for most of my life, motivating me toward becoming a therapist. It will always be the greatest privilege one could have in their life, to walk through the difficult times with someone and be a source of support and encouragement. I began my journey towards helping others by getting a Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Texas A&M University and my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University, graduating in August 2014. I am fully licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked in a variety of settings, from private practice to behavioral health hospitals.

My therapeutic approach is founded in systems theory, simply meaning that we all influence and are influenced by one another. With this perspective, we will look at not only enhancing the innate strengths of the individual and also working to increase the openness, understanding, and interaction of those the individual is around on a day-to-day basis. In therapy, it is my hope to build an open, safe, collaborative environment that allows each of my clients to experience support, encouragement, and to ultimately challenge oneself to grow and reach their true self.

For those that seek it, I have a heart for incorporating Biblical principles into the therapeutic process, allowing us to build a firm foundation of spiritual truths that aid in guiding our emotional and self development. From working with individuals, couples, or families, I have had experience in working with a wide range of presenting problems, and no matter the course one chooses to take in therapy, I believe in the innate abilities each individual has to reach the potential within them.
