About adrienne
My biggest passion in life is helping and walking alongside people as they journey towards their true identity. This world works overtime to distract us with anxiety, stress, insecurity, doubt, and fear, pulling us further from who we are and the purpose we were created to walk out. My goal in therapy is to aid you in re-arranging and managing the distractions, busyness, and responsibilities of life in a way that opens up space for exploration of Self - seeking true identity, true healing, and true passion in your life. More times than not, this will mean a process of us working together to heal past wounds, restructure relationships towards healthy boundaries and communication, and renew innate strengths and dreams within yourself. This process may not always be easy, but I have found it is always worth it. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
With my background and training in systems theory, we are able to focus not only on your own individual growth areas, but also growth areas in the relationships in your life, whether it be your significant other, family, friends, colleagues, or otherwise. We will explore all areas of Self - mind, body, spirit - highlighting a need for healthy foundations in each one. Together, we will work to better understand and process your emotional experience, understand areas of healing and growth in identity, ensure healthy functioning in the relationships you are a part of, and walk forward towards your goals and passions.
As a Board Certified Christian Counselor, I am able to walk out part of my purpose in integrating Biblical truths and principles to the therapeutic process. My focus is on creating a solid foundational relationship with Jesus and walking out the practices He modeled for us, so that we can face the challenges of life with confidence, assurance, strength, and joy, as He did. My hope is to heal religious wounds and create a better understanding of who we are, who God is, and what He created us to do.
My professional development began by getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Texas A&M University and my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University, graduating in August 2014. I am fully licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked in a variety of settings, from private practice, to behavioral health hospitals. I competed by coursework to become a Certified Christian Counselor with the National Association of Christian Counselors (NACC) in 2024.
