We live in a world that battles Peace and Joy.

It is the overall mission and purpose of Steady Heart Counseling, PLLC to extend God's love by focusing on the emotional , physical, and spiritual healing of ALL individuals, couples, and families in order to equip them to become centered in self in their personal, professional, and public lives. Joy in life occurs when one leads from their true self that contains the 8 "C"s: calm, clarity, curiosity, compassion, confidence, courage, creativity, and connectedness. This allows one to wrap their arms around the entirety of who they are to create a Steadier self. If you are note being proactive against your battle against Peace and Joy, stress, disease, depression, anxiety, etc. can quickly take over. We place a strong emphasis on: positive self-worth, systemic understanding/acceptance, and holistic healing.

Who we work with

When an individual is not in their true self they become out of balance and so does their relationships. This leads to a negative interactional cycle that causes increased insecurity, loss of self-worth, value, stability, hope. Our experience entails working with families, couples, individuals, adolescents, and children that are searching for their true self. To love others, you must have a Steady love for yourself first in order to not get caught in a vicious cycle. We place a strong emphasis on strengthening your sense of self in the following ways:

  • understanding your own interactional cycles and how it affects communication and understanding within your relationships,

  • understanding your own story and how that drives thoughts and behaviors

  • understanding your nervous system and how trauma impacts your body and mind response,

  • understanding the difference between emotional and physical integrity, and understanding what internal fear dialogue is dissociating you from yourself, your loved, ones and your higher power.

We use the following modalities and more to help our clients reach their desired truest self: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy for Families and Couples) IFS (Internal Family Systems), Gottman Couples Methodology, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy (ages 5 to 10), Parent Filial Therapy, etc.

Steady

like a dandelion.

Like with the dandelion, we at Steady Heart hope you are able to see the value, strength, and renewal within your true self. Though seen as “just a weed” by the world, the dandelion is one of the most unique and special flowers. The dandelion is resilient, coming back year after year regardless of the adversity they face. From their roots to their leaves, dandelions offer nutritional benefits with positive effects on the body. They transform and change throughout their lifecycle, and spring forth new life. The dandelion is bright and joyful, benefiting the world around it. We want you to see yourself in this same light. You are way more than what the world may say.
